Overview Are you ready to join the Leidos all-star team? Leidos has an exciting opening for a skilled Sr. UI/UX Front-End Engineer. You will develop high-quality web applications using a state-of-the-art technology stack in support of an emerging program. The DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) program is a next-generation platform utilizing AI to provide data enrichment, triage, and analytics capabilities to Defense and Intelligence Community partners. Most tasks are conducted on-site at our client location in Bethesda, MD, with a flexible work schedule and occasional remote work. The percentage of remote work will vary based on client requirements and deliverables. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment and possess a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle while working within an Agile framework. Key tasks you will perform include collaboration with end users, analysts, software and data engineers, and data scientists on the following responsibilities: Responsibilities Develop and maintain web applications using ReactJS and Python . Coding, testing, and debugging new and/or existing web applications. Implementing and refining user interfaces. Conducting thorough unit testing via automated tooling. Collaborating with other team members (internal and external) to ensure optimal performance and usability. Peer reviewing code written by fellow team members. Utilizing virtualization technologies like Docker and Podman. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline, plus 8–12 years of relevant experience. Experience with modern front-end libraries such as ReactJS and/or Angular, with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience. Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Solid understanding of web requests for fetching JSON data. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to write well-documented code. Must possess an Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a Poly. Desired extras A genuine passion for creating great user experiences. Experience with writing frontend unit tests. Experience with writing backend web API services, especially Python. Experience coding in other languages such as Python. Familiarity with NoSQL datastores such as Elasticsearch. Familiarity with performance optimization techniques. Up to date with emerging front-end technologies. Additional information Location: Bethesda, MD. Remote work percentage varies by client requirements. This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph examination as applicable. Pay Range: $104,650.00 - $189,175.00.
