Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a statewide service provider specializing in skilled trade services, tenant improvements, and new construction projects. We are seeking a Skilled Construction Tradesman to perform commercial tenant improvements, including demolition, wood carpentry, drywall, painting, and finish carpentry in retail environments. Journeymen are provided with company vehicles to complete service calls, which may be taken home to start the workday or picked up at the local shop depending on assignment and location. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of commercial construction experience in the areas listed above and be available to work Monday through Friday with flexibility for various shifts or nights, and occasional travel as needed. Responsibilities Demo walls, cabinets, countertops, masonry, concrete, and interior doors Install wood carpentry, framing, and cabinetry Set ceiling tiles, hardware, and window coverings as needed Cut, install, or repair drywall, including taping and mudding Hang interior doors and install casing or trim Mix and pour concrete to complete concrete patches Prepare and clean up job sites for painting Perform paint repairs and properly dispose of painting materials Provide updates to foremen and supervisors regarding estimated completion times for repairs or upgrades Report inventory of materials and supplies to supervisors Complete service and/or work order reports Work effectively in a team environment or independently Additional duties may be assigned as needed Requirements Four or more years of recent skilled construction experience Possess trade and hand tools necessary to perform the work Proficient English communication skills, including the ability to write reports and emails A valid and insurable driving record Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test Note: Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a service company providing customer service throughout California and other states.
