This role combines precision bench work — including stone setting, soldering, and finishing — with team leadership, training, and collaboration on new product development. We’re growing our production team and seeking a highly skilled, well-rounded bench jeweler who will not only create exceptional pieces but will also lead and develop our bench team . This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a master craftsperson who thrives in a high-growth, collaborative, quality-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

• Execute daily production and live order work: soldering, resizing, finishing, assembly, stone setting (prong, bezel, pavé), polishing, and quality inspection.
• Lead, train, and mentor bench jewelers: provide feedback, skill development, and coaching to maintain consistency and craftsmanship.
• Oversee bench resources: ensure tools and equipment are maintained, calibrated, and optimized for safety and efficiency.
• Partner with Product Development: assist in sample setting and prototype testing; help prepare new cast designs for scalable production.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager: support workflow planning, troubleshoot technical issues, and uphold production timelines.
• Champion quality and process excellence: maintain HAVERHILL’s high aesthetic and technical standards across all production work.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of bench jewelry experience in a fine jewelry or production setting.
• Proven expertise in stone setting, soldering, cast cleaning, assembly, and finishing .
• Strong leadership and communication skills; comfortable supervising and training other jewelers.
• Deep knowledge of tools, fixtures, and maintenance for bench operations.
• Ability to problem-solve design and production challenges collaboratively.
• Passion for precision, detail, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with custom, small-scale production is a plus.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM or casting workflows is a bonus.
