Responsibilities for the operations of the bubbling fluidized bed (BFB) boiler
Coordinates all activities on site
Oversees system start-ups and shut downs
Monitors and adjusts the equipment works with integrated controls programmable logic controls (PLC), distributed control systems (DCS), etc
Understands combustion theory applications and works comfortable with proportional integral derivative (PID) instrument loops and emission control systems
Conducts boiler water chemistry analysis and daily system walk down
Directs and monitors shift team work in accordance with safety and productivity goals
Routine use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Power Point
Education and/or Experience
4 year college degree or military preferred
Minimum of 7 years experience in power plant and control room operations
Experience with boiler water chemistry analysis
Solid fuel firing a plus
Heavy equipment experience a plus
