Material Handler | General Labor 1st Shift | Start Immediately | Wood Dale, ILOverview

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler/General Laborer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving inventory and product, including OEM equipment and raw materials such as metal and steel. This role involves loading and unloading trucks by hand or using a pallet jack, working with an RF scanner to ensure correct product movement, lifting items weighing between 30-50 lbs, palletizing, shrink wrapping, and preparing products for transportation, as well as cleaning the work area and performing break downs and staging tasks. The typical schedule will be 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory and product, including OEM equipment and raw materials (metal/steel).
• Load and unload trucks by hand and using a pallet jack.
• Operate an RF scanner to ensure correct product movement.
• Lift items weighing between 30-50 lbs as needed.
• Palletize, shrink wrap, and prepare products for transportation.
• Clean work area, perform break downs, and stage products for shipment.

Skills

• Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments.
• Manual material handling skills.
• Familiarity with using RF scanners.
• Experience with cherry picking, pallet jack, sit down forklift is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (30-50 lbs).
