Overview Position summary: Responsible, as the first-line operational supervisor, for training and leading team members in consistently delivering an exceptional guest experience, including ensuring great tasting/quality food, executing on 20/20 guest expectations, and ensuring compliance with all Jack in the Box procedures, systems and standards. Guest Expectations Well-Trained: Trains and coaches team members using the Guest Expectations training materials; models calm behavior during busy times. Neat and Well-Groomed: Ensures team members comply with JIB uniform and grooming standards; maintains a professional appearance. Friendly: Models and coaches a positive, friendly attitude and the JIB Hospitality Model. Well-Staffed: Maintains restaurant cleanliness, assists with order taking and cashiering during busy times, and leads the team to be ready to serve guests. Food Tastes Great: Monitors food quality, presentation, and ensures standards for taste, appearance, and temperature. Consistent and Quick Service: Provides guidance for fast, consistent service; assists with order taking during busy times. Order Accuracy: Ensures accurate orders, follows up on errors, and retrains as needed. Food Safety: Follows all food safety/quality policies and completes the Food Safety Checklist each shift. Brand Ambassador & Focus on the Guest: Represents Jack in the Box and prioritizes guest care and satisfaction. Team Skills & Commitment: Leads with care, maintains calm under pressure, trains others, and adheres to policies and standards. Front of Restaurant Includes, but not limited to duties. Performs other duties as assigned or directed. Guest Service (Dine In/Drive-Thru): welcoming guests, taking/clarifying orders, entering orders in POS, handling payments, assembling orders, and maintaining area cleanliness. Interior: cleaning, stocking, restroom upkeep, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness inspections. Exterior: parking lot and drive-thru area cleanliness, waste removal, and inspections. Supervision Workstation Operation: Supervises and trains team members on operations; ensures compliance with procedures, systems, standards, and safety. Guest Service: Delivers exceptional guest experiences; responds to concerns professionally. Leadership: Fosters a friendly, safe environment; conducts onboarding/training; provides feedback and recognition; ensures uniform cleanliness. Back of Restaurant Includes, but not limited to duties described below. Performs other duties as assigned or directed. Grill, Assembly, Prep, Fryer, Interior, Exterior, Receiving & Storage: detailed responsibilities for each station including meal prep, cooking, assembly, safety, cleanliness, and inventory controls. Qualifications Experience 6 consecutive months JIB experience and 100% certified in all workstations for internal promotes, or 1-year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail customer service environment. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Must be at least 18 years old; complete Team Leader training; ServSafe certification in certain states. Effective English communication; may require another language depending on location. Excellent interpersonal skills; basic math; ability to work with diverse groups; analytical skills; organization and planning. Self-starter, integrity, and ethical behavior; basic computer skills; willingness to train others on systems. Physical Requirements Ability to stand/walk ~90-95% of shift; lift 15-25 lbs; operate a cash register and read video monitors.
