Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Superintendent to oversee the installation, maintenance, and operations of HVAC systems for commercial and industrial construction projects throughout Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing on-site teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and delivering projects on time and within budget. This role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with subcontractors, engineers, and project managers to ensure high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day operations of HVAC installation crews on commercial and industrial sites, including equipment setup, ductwork, piping, and system testing.

- Lead all on-site construction activities from project mobilization through closeout, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking.

- Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA, Georgia state regulations, and company safety protocols; conduct regular safety inspections and training.

- Develop and maintain detailed short-term schedules, lookahead plans, and progress reports to ensure projects meet deadlines.

- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve issues, manage changes, and optimize workflows.

- Oversee quality control, ensuring all work meets industry standards, building codes, and client specifications.

- Manage budgets, materials, and equipment procurement to minimize costs and delays.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to field personnel, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.

- Handle troubleshooting and problem-solving for complex HVAC systems in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and retrofit projects.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience as an HVAC Superintendent or similar role in commercial and industrial construction.

- Proven track record in supervising HVAC installations for large-scale projects (e.g., offices, warehouses, manufacturing plants).

- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, ductwork, controls, and energy-efficient technologies.

- Familiarity with Georgia building codes, EPA regulations, and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA).

- Relevant certifications preferred, such as OSHA 30-Hour, HVAC Journeyman License, or Project Management Professional (PMP).

- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within Georgia as needed.

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or related field is a plus but not required.
