Food Safety Expert job at Actalent. Chicago, IL. Job Description We are seeking a Food Safety Expert to join our team in Chicago, IL. This role involves supporting the food contact compliance program and working within the corporate quality and food safety team to analyze risk assessments and manage escalations. Responsibilities Support food contact compliance program. Analyze risk assessments and manage escalations within the corporate quality and food safety team. Essential Skills 2-3 years of experience in a food safety or quality assurance position. Experience working in a food manufacturing plant. Proficiency in quality assurance and food safety. Ability to conduct risk assessments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Supervisory or managerial skills are a plus. Exposure or experience with SAP and other digital platforms. Proficiency in MS Suite - PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of HACCP and food contaminant programs. Work Environment This is a 6-month contract position due to an employee being on leave, with the possibility of extension or transitioning to a permanent role. The position offers a hybrid work schedule with two days working from home (Monday and Friday) and three days on-site (Tuesday-Thursday) at the Old Chicago Post Office location. The role involves limited plant exposure and is primarily corporate-based work. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
