About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable Box Truck Delivery Driver to join a growing furniture company. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being on the move, providing excellent customer service, and has proven experience operating both a box truck and a stand-up forklift.
The driver will be responsible for safely transporting furniture to customer locations, handling merchandise with care, and assisting with warehouse operations when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a box truck to deliver furniture to residential and commercial customers.
Load, secure, and unload furniture with attention to product safety and customer property.
Operate a stand-up forklift to move, stage, and organize inventory in the warehouse.
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues.
Provide professional, courteous service during deliveries, including placement of items if required.
Assist with basic warehouse duties such as staging orders, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of box truck driving experience (non-CDL required).
Minimum 2 years of recent stand-up forklift experience (certification preferred).
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items (up to [X lbs., e.g., 75–100 lbs.]) safely with or without equipment.
Strong communication skills and customer-service focus.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules including weekends if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous delivery experience with furniture or large consumer goods.
Experience in warehouse operations and inventory handling.
