Our client, a manufacturing organization, located in Lebanon, TN; is in need of a full-time Data Engineer II . Their ideal candidate will be a seasoned Data Engineer with expertise in ETL (especially ETL Workflows), SQL, and Data Ability. The pay range for this role is $50-$60 an hour (benefits included). Job Title: Data Engineer II Location: Lebanon, TN (Onsite) Job Type: Contract to Hire (6-month Contract to Hire) About the Role: We are seeking a Data Engineer II for a contract-to-hire opportunity onsite in Lebanon, TN . This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented data engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a strong grasp of ETL workflows and data integration. As a Data Engineer II, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines that are reliable, scalable, and well-documented. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders, to deliver data-driven solutions that support business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and data workflows. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems. Work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver robust data solutions. Develop and optimize data structures, both existing and new. Provide guidance to junior data engineers and participate in code reviews. Stay current on data engineering tools, frameworks, and best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field. 3–5 years of professional experience in data engineering or a related discipline. Proficient in SQL (must-have). Experience with ETL processes and data integration workflows. Exposure to cloud environments (Azure preferred) is a strong plus. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python , ADF , or C# (Python is a plus but not required). Understanding of big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and modern data architecture (e.g., Data Lake, Synapse, MS Fabric) is beneficial. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Nice to Have: Experience in smaller, agile environments where engineers take ownership across the stack. Some exposure to data architecture and solution design. Why Join Us?
