Job Summary

We are seeking a creative, organized, and deadline-driven Content Writer to join our team. As a Content Writer, you will create blog posts, articles, guides, and marketing copy to strengthen our website and increase brand awareness. Your responsibilities will also include researching assigned topics, generating content ideas, creating a monthly newsletter, and carefully proofreading before submission. The ideal candidate is someone who is hard-working, detail-oriented, and has strong writing skills. 

Responsibilities 

• Write clear and engaging blog content based on prompts
• Collaborate on designing, writing, and creating a monthly email newsletter 
• Use our Content Management System to create structured drafts 
• Use search engine optimization (SEO) techniques and keyword research to increase traffic to articles
• Edit and proofread content prior to submission
• Follow a content calendar and meet all publishing deadlines 
• Coordinate with a team to develop complementary social media content
• Curate content to B2C and B2B markets
• Attend weekly meetings to discuss direction and execution 

Qualifications

• Pursuing or received a Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, or in a similar position is desirable, but not required
• Strong portfolio of published articles is a plus
• Ability to do in-depth research 
• Excellent grammar, writing, and editing skills with a brand-friendly tone
• Familiarity with HubSpot and Shopify are desirable, but not required
• Self-starter who can take direction and execute consistently and timely without compromising quality or vision
• Organized, reliable, and deadline-driven with limited supervision
• Creative with an interest in marketing campaigns, blogging, and content creation
• Interest in creating content around a B2C and B2B marketing strategy
• Strong team communication skills
• Interest in food & wellness content is a plus!
