Job Description
The Website Developer will work as part of a team in maintaining and developing new features websites. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented developer who will play a key role in translating requirements into fully functional web applications. This is a fast-paced environment where you will be managing multiple projects and deadlines collaborating with cross-functional teams in defining, designing, and launching new features.
Major Duties Description
Development • Coding, testing and debugging of applications
Documentation • Creating and maintaining technical documentation
Requirement Gathering • Working with end-users to define requirements
Security • Consistently maintaining secure coding practices
Problem Solving • Troubleshoot and fix any issues related to Merz websites
Quality • Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness
Communication • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs
Optimization • Identify areas of optimization across existing codebases and propose solutions
Technical & Functional Skills
• Website development experience using PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Good understanding of website integration and software creation
• Consistently maintaining secure coding practices
• Multi-tasking, prioritization, and escalation skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related) OR equivalent experience
• Agile/Scrum experience
• Experience working with public-facing web applications
