About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP, Head of Safety and Pharmacovigilance to lead the strategic implementation, execution, and management of safety and pharmacovigilance activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a culture of safety, ensuring the protection of clinical trial participants and patients, and maintaining the company's position at the forefront of patient safety. This role involves providing medical oversight for all safety functions, participating in regulatory interactions, and leading a team to ensure proactive safety signaling and timely risk-benefit assessments. The VP will also be accountable for safety datasets, safety leadership in companywide initiatives, and will play a visible role in safety advisement. Applicants must have an M.D., D.O., or M.B.B.S. with a minimum of 10 years' global experience in drug safety within the biotechnology industry. Deep understanding of safety signals, risk mitigation, and expert knowledge of FDA safety regulations, ICH Guidelines, and global safety regulations are essential. The role requires a leader with strong organizational and problem-solving skills, dynamic leadership, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functional areas. The VP will be expected to mentor the team, manage safety budgets, and ensure compliance with global regulatory standards. The position is pivotal in driving the company's safety strategy and requires a candidate who can also build and lead a team as the pipeline grows.
