Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with rotating schedule (shifts won't rotate within 4-week schedule but must be able to work either day or night shift during contract)
\n• Patient ratio 1:2 across all shifts
\n• 36 contracted hours per week with facility allowed to call off 3 times throughout 13-week assignment
\n• Required to float to NICU and may be asked to resource Peds ED for IVs, medications, and general assistance
\n• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule for day shift, 4-5 for night shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights considered weekends)
\n• 36 hours of orientation provided
\n• Must have 1.5 years of experience with Level I Trauma facility experience required
\n• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, New Mexico License
\n• Special procedure experience required: CRRT & ECMO procedures, ventilators, working knowledge of inotropic drips
\n• Care for patients with respiratory distress/failure, renal failure, trauma, CRRT, ECMO, heme/onc, multi-system organ failure, suicide attempts
\n• Must be comfortable with External ventricular drain (EVD), High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), ICP monitoring, IV vasopressors
\n• Black scrubs (not provided by facility)
\n• Charting system: Cerner
\n• Free parking available
\n• RQI certifications not accepted
\n• No locals within 75-mile radius
\n• Overtime must be pre-approved and is rarely granted
\n• Must complete compliance requirements within 10 days prior to start date

This Level I Trauma Children's Hospital is a comprehensive teaching facility with 554 staffed beds and a 20-bed PICU unit. The hospital serves as a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and provides specialized pediatric care across multiple age groups including neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The organization maintains strict compliance standards and operates with a focus on high-acuity pediatric critical care.
