Job Summary
We are seeking a Telecommunications Technician to join our team! The Telecom Technicians are the administrators of telecommunications/voice networks. You will set up, test, and evaluate systems such as end-user telephones, local area network switches, and other data communications systems. Telecom Technicians are responsible for day-to-day cabling and jobsite functions at Tezla, and assisting customers with voice issues remotely, on the phone, and onsite when needed. Telecom Technicians are also responsible for managing and maintaining phone systems and performing routine operations (MAC) for both contract and non-contract customers, as well as performing administrative functions as necessary. These administrative functions include, but are not limited to, answering phones, product and sales research, as well as other assigned non-technical duties in and out of the office. This position is also part of our Cabling team where you are responsible for assisting in running cable, terminating jacks, and installing needed equipment at job sites.

Responsibilities

• Install new telecommunications equipment for customers
• Troubleshoot existing equipment that isnt working, run diagnostic tests, and fix any problems that arise
• Upgrade outdated equipment
• Walk the customer through any new or updated equipment to ensure everyone knows how to use it properly
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by always wearing proper PPE and following safety procedures

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills
• Previous experience with telecommunications equipment desired
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Must be comfortable working on your feet, in tight spaces, and a variety of weather conditions
