Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Technical Writer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX(Hybrid). The ideal candidate will create high-quality onboarding guides, system overviews, and developer-focused documentation in collaboration with cross-functional teams.


Rate Range: $53/hour to 56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Technical Writer job responsibilities include:

• Design, organize, and write technical content such as onboarding guides, system architecture overviews, and how-to articles for internal developer audiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, and UX designers to gather source material and define documentation requirements.
• Translate complex technical workflows into clear, user-friendly documentation tailored for various audiences.
• Develop and maintain documentation templates and style guides to ensure consistency across deliverables.
• Review and update content regularly based on product changes and user feedback to maintain accuracy and relevance.
• Drive content strategies that improve onboarding efficiency and support developer enablement across distributed teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related field.
• 8-12 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a product-based or SaaS environment.
• Proven ability to create onboarding documentation and developer-focused content in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in tools like Confluence, Markdown, and version control systems (e.g., Git), with a strong grasp of technical concepts and workflows.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
