Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Helper to join our client’s team, supporting the installation, maintenance, and operation of specialized machinery and systems used in ground engineering and geotechnical services. The ideal candidate will work closely with skilled technicians and engineers, assisting in a variety of tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations on-site.

Role Overview:

As a Technical Helper, you will assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of geotechnical equipment and machinery used in construction, drilling, and other ground engineering projects. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a technical and physically active role, working on challenging and exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment used in geotechnical projects
• Provide support to technicians and engineers during drilling, soil testing, and other field operations 
• Help with the transportation and setup of tools and equipment on-site
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to machinery
• Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment 
• Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment from vehicles
• Provide support in data collection and reporting during testing operations 
• Work effectively as part of a team, maintaining communication with supervisors and colleagues 

Requirements:

• Basic technical knowledge of machinery and tools
• Previous experience in construction, technical support, or a related field is an asset, but on-the-job training will be provided 
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and procedures
• Ability to work outdoors and in physically demanding conditions 
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions clearly 
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to following them at all times 
• Fluency in English; other languages are a plus 
• Valid driver’s license is preferred
