Tax Accountant for a CPA Firm (REMOTE from the US East/Central)

ARC Group is seeking a REMOTE Tax Accountant with experience in preparing individual and corporate tax returns for a permanent opportunity in Miami, FL. Our client is a longstanding CPA and tax consulting firm with an excellent reputation and is looking for someone with two recent years at the same CPA firm (not just seasonal) to prepare income tax returns ASAP.

TAX ACCOUNTANT / TAX PREPARER DUTIES:

• General Accounting responsibilities, including preparing GL are critical.
• Prepare estimated federal and state income tax payments.
• Complex tax preparation experience, including corporate returns
• Perform year-end accrual review and prepare the tax provision.
• Prepare various personal property tax returns.
• Prepare/Review other various tax filings: Annual reports, Intangible Tax, Sales and Use Tax.

MUST HAVE SKILLS

• 2 or more recent years of experience in at the same Public Accounting / CPA firm ( a CPA license is NOT required). 
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent for Tax Accountant role
• Must have experience preparing S-Corp, C-Corp, and Individual taxes
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and popularly used tax software, e.g., UltraTax, ADP, Drake, ProSystem, Lacerte, etc.
• Complex tax preparation experience, including corporate returns

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred)
