Position Summary We provide sports analytics data to clients and the public. We are looking for a local, part‑time contractor to collect information and perform other operational tasks in person at sporting events in and around Tampa. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Attend 3‑4 sporting events per week (generally Fridays through Sundays, but may extend to other days, in the early afternoons and/or evenings) and record information or data about the events. Contract runs from November to April with opportunity for annual renewal. Always be on time and never miss events without notice. Monitor quality of your work and strive to improve performance. Meet once per week for a short meeting with the team. Provide a situation report, incorporate feedback, and discuss growth opportunities. Debug technical issues on your own before asking for help. Partner with the World Wide Data team to constantly improve the operation. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Show up consistently and execute flawlessly every single time, while always looking for opportunities to get better. Like solving problems and thinking on your feet, and not afraid to say when something isn’t working or can be better. Responsible, professional, respectful, and high attention to detail. Enjoy working as part of a team. Enjoy sporting events and being outdoors. Be able to provide your own transportation to/from events. Full fluency of written and spoken English. Ability to communicate — especially in moments of stress — in a professional, efficient, and respectful way.
