Job Description

Are you a seasoned SEO expert ready to lead a critical domain migration? This strategic, hands-on role involves benchmarking current SEO performance, safeguarding organic equity, and driving sustained search visibility growth. With deep technical expertise and a proven track record in guiding enterprise-level websites through complex migrations, without traffic loss, you will be a vital partner in ensuring a seamless transition and long-term SEO success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SEO Baseline Audit.
    • Perform a full technical, on-page, and off-page SEO audit of our current domain.
    • Benchmark key metrics, including organic traffic, keyword rankings, indexation status, backlink profile, and crawl efficiency.
  • Migration SEO Strategy.
    • Develop a detailed SEO migration plan for the domain name change.
    • Define redirect strategies (301/302), canonical signals, and URL mapping.
    • Anticipate risks and propose mitigation steps to safeguard organic visibility.
  • Implementation Guidance.
    • Work with engineering, product, and marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into migration rollouts.
    • Provide technical specifications for redirects, sitemaps, structured data, and robots.txt updates.
    • Ensure analytics and tracking are set up to measure the SEO impact both before and after migration.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting.
    • Establish monitoring dashboards (Google Search Console, GA4, third-party SEO tools).
    • Track site performance before, during, and after the migration.
    • Deliver actionable reports highlighting risks, opportunities, and progress.
  • Long-Term Growth Recommendations.
    • Advise on strategies to grow organic traffic post-migration, including content optimization, site architecture, and technical improvements.
    • Recommend ongoing SEO initiatives that align with brand and growth objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SEO with a strong emphasis on technical SEO for large-scale sites.
  • Proven track record of managing domain or site migrations without loss of organic visibility.
  • Strong understanding of 301/302 redirects, canonicalization, crawl budget, structured data, hreflang, and mobile-first indexing.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO tools (GSC, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Botify, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategy.

  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
