As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business area and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity.
• Prepare detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Communicate with visitors, employees, and/or contractors in a professional manner to address questions or concerns related to access control.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
• Stay informed of and comply with site-specific protocols, procedures, and any updates relevant to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
