FUNCTION

The Security Officer is essential in maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property. The ideal candidate will be vigilant, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to upholding security protocols and procedures.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor surveillance systems and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify safety hazards and security breaches.
• Enforce policies, regulations, and state gaming laws.
• Assist guests and employees with inquiries and provide directions as needed.
• Prepare and maintain accurate incident reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
• Provide training and guidance to new security personnel as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

• Available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights, as needed.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures is a plus.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
