An opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support students in a K-12 school setting. This role focuses on providing therapeutic services to a diverse caseload, addressing various needs from mild to severe disabilities. The position is structured as a full-time contract for the entire school year, situated in Newport News, VA.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
• Strong knowledge of various therapies and their application in educational environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Assess and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring occupational therapy
• Deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to students varied needs
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive student support
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student outcomes
