The position will be assisting with the study, "Addressing Rural Disparities in Food and Nutrition Security and Cardiovascular Diseases Through Access to Emergency Food for Older Adults". The temporary researcher will support Drs. Patrick Brady and Melissa Laska in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health in completing a literature review and analyzing interview data. This position will provide the opportunity to gain skills in conducting systematic literature reviews and qualitative and mixed research methods. Dr. Brady will be the direct supervisor and responsible for training and day-to-day management. This is a limited-term, hourly position. Pay range will be between $22.50 and $27.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experiences. We anticipate the work load will be up to 14 hours per week. This project will start as soon as a candidate is hired in Summer/Fall 2024 and continue until all project activities are complete, dependent on funding availability. This position requires some work to be done on campus but can mostly be completed remotely. Major Responsibilities include: Qualitative & mixed data analysis 35% Assist with all aspects of qualitative analysis for older adult food shelf user and non-user interview data and triangulation of interview results with other project findings. Literature Review 50% Assist with conducting systematic literature review on strategies used to enhance food and nutrition security in rural communities. Study Support 15% Attend meetings with research and community partners. Qualifications All required qualifications must be included in the application materials Required: High school diploma or equivalent Excellent written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team. Must demonstrate reliability and attention to detail. Preference will be given to candidates whose background and experience will contribute to the School's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
