Job Description

WalterLane is pleased to lead the search for a Project Coordinator, Transatlantic Relations for the DC office of a leading European think tank. The organization focuses on the trans-Atlantic partnership and the economic, political, and social challenges facing the United States and Europe. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, strong academic background in US-European Union relations, knowledge of policy issues of importance to the US-European relationship, strong research and writing skills, and 1+ years of related work experience. ABOUT THE ROLE

Research key indicators on a quarterly basis for two projects Author comparative summaries for digital platform Conduct research, writing, and content curation for project Research and write on areas of interest in transatlantic policy debates Research and track legislative developments with policy overlap on both sides of the Atlantic Liaise with partners and service providers to ensure smooth operation of the digital platform Identify and implement relevant information to support projects Provide logistical and program support for online and in-person events connected to projects Assist in organizing the annual summer series program Support the foundation’s outreach and engagement plan

ABOUT YOU

Bachelor's or Masters’ degree in international relations, international politics, public policy, or a related field with 1+ years of related work experience Strong academic background in US-European Union relations with a general understanding and solid knowledge of policy issues Interest in comparative policy analysis is an asset Ability to quickly “ramp up” on subject matter related to new and ongoing projects Exceptional research and writing skills Curiosity, creativity, and flexibility Fluency in European languages is preferred
