Job Description
Position Description: The purpose of the Teacher Assistant, under the direction of the program manage, is to provide an educational, safe, and fun program for the assigned children with and without developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure all licensing regulations are practiced and met on a daily basis with regards to the children and program.
• Assess, plan and implement appropriate daily programming for children's activities.
• Assist in teaching children and implementing their goals and objectives.
• Attend and participate in monthly staff meetings and trainings.
• Assure the grounds, facility and vehicles are maintained in a clean, safe, healthy, and attractive learning and living environment.
• Transport children in Parca vehicles in accordance with all laws, policies and procedures. This includes daily vehicle maintenance checks.
• Communicate openly with all other staff in the program to ensure a spirit of teamwork in program.
• Carry out all internal policies and procedures (example: reading and logging in communication log).
• Bring concerns and information to the attention of the program manager in a timely manner.
Requirements:
• Must have the ability to identify, analyze problems and recommend effective solutions.
• Must have the ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality.
• Must have a valid driver license and car insurance.
• Must have 12 ECE/SAC/CD units upon hire.
• Must be CPR and First Aid certified.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a portable classroom, concrete playground and the community. This role routinely interacts with children in all types of activities such as art projects, handling snack food items, using cleaning solutions and physically interacting with children from time to time in play or with personal hygiene.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; bend and stoop; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
