Position Summary:

Sovah Danville is seeking a PRN Radiology Tech Student to perform various imaging procedures by applicable scope and standards of practice. 

• Assists technologist with obtaining radiographs with stationary and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Assists technologist with obtaining radiographs with portable units as deemed necessary on the nursing units as well as within the
• radiology department.
• Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies.
• Assists technologists with positioning patients and the performance of imaging procedures.
• Assures appropriate orders are obtained and followed during the performance of all procedures.
• Verifies patient identification before the performance of any procedure.

Minimum Education: 

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Senior in a Program in Radiologic Technology required.

Required Skills:

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including week-ends and holidays to ensure continuity of care and appropriateness of imaging coverage to the patients of Sovah Health - Danville.

Required Certifications/Licenses:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Minimum Work Experience:

• Current clinical experience in a Radiologic Technology program.
