Description

Summary

Perform the daily accounting duties for assigned entities including the month-end closing and reporting. Perform monthly and yearend reconciliation of tenant recoveries.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform monthly standard accounting closing procedures for all assigned entities.
• Prepare monthly financial statement packages for assigned entities in accordance with GAAP.
• Analyze monthly financials and explain significant variances to forecast and prior periods.
• Prepare straight-line rent schedules within the accounting system for tenant leases.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules for each entity and ensure assets are depreciated with correct methods and useful lives.
• Review A/R aging and research and answer accounting related questions related to tenant balances.
• Review yearend tenant reconciliation and work with lease analysts to ensure tenants are correctly billed.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 1-3 years of experience working in an accounting role within the real estate industry
• Prior experience with MRI software is a plus.
• Experience with communicating effectively with multiple internal and external customers
• Ability to coordinate multiple items simultaneously and ensure completion on a timely basis
