VOLT is immediately hiring for a Construction Project Manager in Ephrata, WA

Position type: Full-time, Contingent

Duration: contract to hire, 3+ years

Location: Ephrata, WA

This role will be onsite 2x per week, could be flexible for non local candidates

As a Construction Project Manager you will:

Job Duties:

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and utilize project deliverables as defined in the EPMO Project Management Framework requirements and standards
  • Work closely with the project Executive Sponsor, Business Owner, Lead Project Manager, Facilities Department, and other departments and personnel affected by or supporting the project
  • Lead and/or contribute to the development of the project approval application to the Project Review Committee (PRC). The Project Review Committee is responsible for reviewing and approving public body certifications and project approval applications for the utilization of General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) and Design-Build (DB) delivery methods of public works construction.
  • Meet with staff to walk through the project documents and exhibits to review scope, assumptions and responsibilities for the Project, and affirm with the project leadership
  • Work closely with the contract manager (District Representative) through internal procurement processes, contractor selection, presentations to the Board of Commissioners, and as needed, provide support and oversight of vendors and contractors providing materials and labor on the project.
  • Closely collaborate with internal staff and the Design Build Team through all phases of the programming, design, construction, and closeout of the project. Work effectively to inspire cooperation and confidence among the team members, establish a positive and cohesive culture, and actively work to remove barriers that impede the team’s progress.
  • Review and provide comments on contract invoices and forward all supporting information to the District Representative for final approval
  • Provide Project document control by setting up a Project document repository utilizing a standard EPMO SharePoint platform. Make sure that all Project related files are stored and made accessible for all the project team members

Project Deliverables:

  • Project charter
  • Project Management Plan with all associated artifacts
  • Safety Management Plan and active monitoring of contractor safety,
  • Up-to-date Project schedule with critical path identified and active monitoring and reporting of schedule information
  • Change Control Plan and active control and reporting of project changes
  • Tracking and aging of project action items
  • Active risk and issue management via a project risk and issue register,
  • Management of project budget, actuals, and cash flows
  • Bi-weekly status reports to include updates on schedule, budget, scope, risks and requests, risk and issue management
  • Project communication/presentation materials, and
  • Project closeout plan.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
