Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist I to support our client’s medical facility, located in Niceville, FL, 32578

This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Niceville, FL, 32578

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Pay Range: $17.74- $19.94 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling with precision and care.
• Ensure proper identification of patients prior to blood collection.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
• Accurately label and document specimens for testing in accordance with medical terminology standards.

Job Requirements:

• Perform venipunctures and capillary draws using appropriate gauge needles while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Label, process, and transport blood specimens accurately and efficiently in compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
• Verify patient identification and maintain accurate documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Prepare and maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies, ensuring proper sanitation and readiness for daily use.
• Communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff, providing compassionate care and addressing patient concerns during blood collection procedures.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months of experience REQUIRED.
• One(+) year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment is preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.
