Description of Position Performing Arts Box Office Assistant, Part Time Hiring Rate: $16/hour The PAC Box Office Assistant will support the PAC in an effort to provide opportunities for cultural enrichment. The Box Office is open during the week and before/during scheduled shows. Duties include:
- Sell, print, and distribute tickets to a variety of PAC events/shows
- Use ticketing software to process and complete ticket sales and purchases for patrons in person, over the phone, and online, with a variety of payment methods (cash, check, credit card, vouchers, gift cards)
- Be the main contact for customer service, communicating event and ticket information to patrons, and troubleshooting transaction issues
Minimum Expectations & Requirements - Basic cashiering and/or money handling, including processing cash, check, and credit card payment methods
- Ability to monitor patrons and determine appropriate level of assistance, either in the box office or in the lobby/auditorium areas
- Must be able to make quick and rational decisions in interacting with patrons while working independently and with other
- Exhibit patience and a positive attitude
- Demonstrate reliability and good customer service skills
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate time management and organizational skills
- Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
- Adhere to the code of confidentiality in certain cases where discretion should be used
- Adhere to Yavapai College Code of Conduct as well as FERPA guidelines
- Have a strong understanding of technology and the ability to use it effectively and efficiently
