Samford Universitys School of the Arts invites applicants interested in serving in a Christian university environment to apply for the position of Adjunct Instructor of Game Design & 3D Animation. This part time, position will begin in August 2025.
The candidate should have an MFA in an area of Game Design, 3D Animation, or a related field from an institutionally accredited university (or equivalent). Highly qualified candidates with exceptional professional experience within the discipline may also be considered without having an MFA. Candidates should provide a record of professional work in the field, such as an exhibition record, production or publication record, or other evidence of professional research. The candidate will be expected to teach Game Design & 3D Animation courses as part of the Bachelors of Science (BS) in Game Design & 3D Animation, and other School of the Arts core courses, which may include cross-disciplinary collaboration. The candidate should have one or more Game Design and/or 3D Animation skills related to c haracter modeling, lighting, objects, textures, environment modeling, user experience, storyboarding, and particle systems. The candidate should have proficiency in most or all of our software pipeline Photoshop, Maya, Substance Painter, Zbrush, Unreal, and Unity.
