Job Title: Packager ($18-19/hr.)

Job Description

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Packagers. We have one opening each for the 2nd and 3rd shifts. If you are detail-oriented, capable of performing repetitive tasks, and have experience in industrial manufacturing, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Work directly with the operator in the 'catching' department.
• Catch pieces as they come off the line and put them aside or into boxes.
• Cut wood using a saw and measure accurately with a tape measure.
• Wrap drywall studs (sizes 6 ft, 8 ft, 12 ft) and prepare them for shipping.
• Stack materials on pallets, wrap, and prepare them for shipping.
• Perform repetitive tasks such as keeping material on rollers and counting pieces based on work orders.
• Receive saw training to cut wood for protecting drywall sheets during shipping.
• Read order sheets and paperwork, sharing information as needed.
• Operate a table saw to cut wood parts.
• Remain on your feet for the entire shift.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Experience using a table saw is a plus.
• Must have metatarsal boots.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must purchase a white hard hat prior to the first day.
• Must be open to mandatory overtime.

Work Environment

Our facility is industrial but clean and well-lit, with a busy season in the summer. The work environment involves manufacturing products for interior buildings and new construction, such as racking systems, drywall framing, and corner beads. Check out our website for more information.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
