TITLE: Network Engineer
TYPE: Direct-Hire
LOCATION: 100% Remote (HQ is near Philadelphia)
ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: 100% Remote
START DATE: July 2024
SHIFT: 1 st Shift, EST with on call for emergencies.
TRAVEL : Up to 20% overnight travel across the USA
Should live within an hour of an international airport.

We are looking for a Network Engineer who has strong experience with Cisco products
The ideal candidate has their CCNA and has strong familiarity with Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPN and is comfortable with travel and on-call.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Travel to various locations across the country to design, upgrade, troubleshoot and harden IT security and network systems
  
• Take ownership of the installation, administration, and testing of network infrastructure including hubs, routers, switches, cabling etc.
• Manage the daily activities of LAN and WAN by performing diagnostics and scheduling preventative maintenance
  
• Escalate tickets with detailed documentation of troubleshooting within the appropriate IT teams
  
• Provides on-call response to emergency work requests
  
• Work with the Network Engineering team to develop, monitor, and implement network security procedures for safeguarding all networking systems
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma is required
  4-year degree preferred
  
  
• Cisco Network Certifications are preferred (such as CCNA) but not required
  
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time domestically (all over the USA) and be on call 24x7 for major escalations
  
• Strong knowledge with all things Cisco including Routers, Switches, LAN/WAN, ASA Firewalls, etc
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction at time showing strong critical reasoning skills
  
• Must be able to work with 3 rd party vendors to accomplish projects and act as the boots on the ground that will take instruction to complete complex tasks
