Description:
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced NDT Inspectors for projects located in the Newport News, VA area . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $38/hour based on experience plus $120/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job-site. Job Scope:
General examinations cover basic test principles relative to the applicable method
Specific examinations cover the equipment operating procedures and test techniques that candidates may encounter in their specific assignment
Other tasks assigned
Requirements:
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in the field
Must have Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle & Visual Testing Inspector II certifications
Must be able to pass a written general theory and procedure specific examinations for the applicable methods
Must have passed practical examinations for the applicable methods in which they have demonstrated ability to operate the necessary NDT equipment and record and analyze the resultant information
Must be Safety Harness and Respirator qualified
Must be familiar with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry
