As a Full-Time Music Therapist at Bella Home Health and Hospice, you will engage in a variety of fulfilling daily activities aimed at enhancing client well-being. You will conduct one-on-one music therapy sessions tailored to individual needs, utilizing various instruments and therapeutic techniques. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, you will assess client progress and document outcomes to ensure effective care plans. Your day will include developing customized treatment goals, preparing lesson plans, and utilizing innovative methods to promote emotional expression and cognitive functioning through music. You will also facilitate group sessions, fostering social interaction and community among clients.

Your empathetic approach will guide you as you connect with clients and their families, providing support and education on the therapeutic benefits of music. Regularly attending team meetings and conferences will enhance your professional growth as you contribute to our commitment to excellence and integrity in home health care.

• To thrive as a Full-Time Music Therapist at Bella Home Health and Hospice, candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Music with a concentration in Music Therapy, or preferably a Master's Degree in the same field.
• Certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists is essential, with Board Certified or Hospice and Palliative Care certifications being highly desirable.
• Experience working with terminally ill patients and their families is also a significant asset.
• Successful candidates will exhibit strong communication and organizational skills, enabling them to connect with clients and their families effectively.
• You should demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate as part of a team.
• A sound judgment is necessary for applying existing guidelines and making decisions within the department.
• Additionally, a willingness to multitask, focus on client needs, and continuously learn will ensure your success in providing innovative and empathetic care in a dynamic work environment.
