Description: The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a Full-Time Medical Social Worker for our Pediatric Specialty Hospital. This position works 40 hours per week; with one weekend day per week. Our Social Work team provides social services to the Pediatric Specialty Hospital patients and their families based on an individualized assessment of the social, psychological, and economic needs. They assist families of hospitalized patients with supports and resources throughout hospitalization with the goal of a safe discharge home and also serve patients and families in Child's Way, our daycare center for medically fragile children, on an as-needed basis. Capacity to foresee potential problems, and alleviate them by utilizing available resources and providing appropriate counseling skills Interpersonal skills necessary to assess patient/family needs, occasionally provide social and psychological counseling to patients and families, interact with all levels of hospital personnel, and communicate/cooperate with numerous outside agencies Compensation details: 28-38 Hourly Wage PIda8d6e4a4244-25448-34261894
