Overview: This isn't your average driving job. As a Patient Service Technician, you'll provide more than deliveries-you'll deliver life-changing medical equipment and support that allows patients to live more comfortably and independently at home. This position blends customer service, technical know-how, and physical hands-on work. You'll handle intake tasks like verifying insurance and processing physician orders while also delivering, setting up, and maintaining respiratory and durable medical equipment. Every visit is a chance to make a meaningful difference for patients and their families across the area.
Responsibilities: - Drive local routes to deliver, set up, and assemble home medical equipment (oxygen systems, wheelchairs, hospital beds, patient lifts).
- Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use and maintenance of equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
- Process intake: read/follow physician orders, verify demographics, obtain insurance authorizations, and communicate with hospitals, physicians, and staff.
- Complete delivery forms, intake paperwork, and accurate patient visit reports.
- Maintain and safely operate assigned company vehicle.
- Participate in on-call rotation to respond to urgent patient needs.
- Uphold all safety, compliance, and company standards.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport equipment (minimum 65 lbs).
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, internet navigation).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Delivery/setup or service experience preferred (medical, home installation, furniture delivery, or similar).
- Experience with medical equipment, terminology, or billing a plus.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
