Position Summary
The Mechanical Office Estimator plays a key role in supporting our estimating department through data entry, vendor communications, document management, and cost tracking. The ideal candidate has experience working with Quotebooks and QuickBooks , understands basic mechanical components , and is comfortable working with vendors to gather quotes and pricing for construction-related materials and services.

Location: Commerce, GA
 
Key Responsibilities

• Assist estimators in compiling and organizing project estimates using Quotebooks.
• Input and manage cost data in QuickBooks and ensure accuracy of pricing.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to request quotes, pricing, and availability of materials.
• Maintain vendor databases and quote logs for easy access and future reference.
• Support the preparation of bid packages and cost proposals.
• Read and interpret basic construction and mechanical component drawings.
• Help track and manage pricing trends and cost history for common materials and equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure all estimating documentation is current and complete.
• Perform general administrative support tasks related to the estimating department.

• 2+ years of experience in an estimating support, procurement, or administrative role (construction or manufacturing industry preferred).
• Proficient in Quotebooks and QuickBooks (or similar estimating/accounting software).
• Basic understanding of mechanical components and construction terminology (degree not required, but technical familiarity is a plus).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience interacting with vendors/suppliers.
• Excellent organizational and data entry skills with a high attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
