Job Title: Mechanical Designer – Autodesk Inventor (Entry Level)

Location: Houston, TX (On-site, Full-Time)

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Designer with proficiency in Autodesk Inventor to join our Houston-based team. In this full-time, in-office role, you will be primarily responsible for converting 2D technical drawings into 3D models to support our Sales Engineers during the proposal and pre-production phases. The projects will primarily involve mechanical assemblies including piping systems, conduits, and related industrial components .

Key Responsibilities:

• Convert 2D CAD drawings and schematics into fully detailed 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.
• Collaborate closely with Sales Engineers to create accurate visual representations of proposed designs.
• Maintain a library of standardized components and templates for efficiency and consistency.
• Ensure all models meet applicable standards, customer requirements, and project specifications.
• Revise existing drawings and models based on engineer feedback or design updates.
• Support proposal development with visual aids, exploded views, and component layout illustrations.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability or installation feasibility.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and experience converting 2D to 3D models.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles , particularly in piping and conduit systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI) for piping design is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• This is a full-time, in-office position located in Houston, Texas .
