We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Luxury Hotel General Manager to lead our exclusive and prestigious lifestyle hotel in Arizona. The General Manager will be instrumental in driving profitability through revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction, and employee development, while upholding the integrity of the hotel. This role requires effective leadership and management skills to deliver results that align with the hotel's mission and contribute to its overall success. A significant focus of this role is the management and enhancement of the hotel's comprehensive food and beverage operations, particularly in fine dining and upscale restaurant settings. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including rooms, food and beverage, spa services, and event management such as weddings and corporate functions.
  • Guest Interaction: Lead daily operations, maintaining a service-oriented manner and ensuring all guest interactions meet luxury standards, especially when dealing with high-profile and celebrity guests.
  • Strategic Meetings: Conduct daily ABR meetings with the sales team to discuss prospecting and account management strategies.
  • Quality Assurance: Regularly tour hotel departments to make necessary adjustments and uphold quality standards across all services.
  • Team Management: Host weekly staff meetings to review sales and operations efforts and conduct training sessions focused on luxury service delivery.
  • Financial Management: Manage financial operations, including budget reviews with department heads and monthly financial forecasting.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures, including safety regulations and staff training.
  • Sales Initiatives: Engage in active sales efforts, including meeting with top accounts and potential clients.
  • Food and Beverage Leadership: Directly manage and enhance the hotel's food and beverage services, focusing on creating exceptional dining experiences in the hotel’s restaurants and bars.
  • Cost Control: Implement effective cost-control measures and inventory management in food and beverage operations to maximize profitability.
  • Staff Development: Train and mentor food and beverage staff to deliver top-notch customer service and culinary excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with substantial expertise in managing full-service lifestyle hotel operations.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, or related field preferred; significant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Extensive experience in managing upscale hotel-based restaurants, bars, banquet facilities, spa services, and large-scale events such as weddings.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control specific to lifestyle hotel operations.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of developing successful teams in a lifestyle hotel setting.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively managing guest relations and team interactions, especially adept at handling high-profile and celebrity interactions professionally.
  • Decision Making: Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make decisions quickly.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows operating systems and standard office software.
