Job Description

Salary: $55-60K

Michaels Wilder, Inc. is looking to hire a full-time licensed Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, negotiate and adjust low complexity property claims. While this job is predominately an on-site position based out of the corporate headquarters in Deer Valley, we do allow employees to work from home on occasion. There is no field work involved with this role. The ideal candidate will have experience working with property claim reserves and/or adjudicating homeowners and rental policy claims.

Why You Should Work With Us:

Michaels Wilder brands are dedicated to bringing people and businesses together in ways that are surprising, entertaining, meaningful, and measurable. Our responsibility to our clients is to deliver innovative and high quality services that exceed their expectations and ensures loyalty. Company decisions are guided by integrity and ethics. We give back by investing and participating in our communities. We feel our success is directly tied to our amazing team members at all levels, and we strongly believe in valuing the contributions, nurturing the growth, and promoting the retention of all our employees. At Michaels Wilder, our mission is to provide service beyond expectations to both our valued team members and clients. You'll find that our culture is open and honest - we tell it like it is. We also want to know what you're thinking. Opinions, insights, ideas... they're all welcome here. If it makes sense to change the way we operate, we'll change. That's what being an innovative leader is all about. Welcome to the Wilder Way.

What You'll Do:

With the support of a collaborative team and ongoing coaching from leaders, you will learn to investigate, analyze, and settle claims filed. Part of your role will be to review all claim forms and documents submitted for accuracy. You will analyze the data and assess what, if any, additional information is needed to make a determination of responsibility. Upon thorough investigation, you will deny, settle, or authorize payment on routine claims. Additionally, you will be answering claims calls, developing monthly reports for risk and financial purposes, onboarding clients onto our proprietary claims platform and assisting with client manager training as needed.

Honestly, to perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

What We Need From You:

  • You're a self-starter:  You take initiative and are comfortable being empowered to work independently. When you need help, you're not too shy to ask.
  • You're a master of "GyShiDo": You follow through on every request, no matter how big or small, with attention to detail. You're analytical with stellar time management and organizational skills.
  • You're a communications pro: You can speak and write in a clear, concise manner whilst displaying a high degree of professionalism and discretion with confidential information.
  • You collaborate: You're the consummate team player, able to build strong relationships and effectively partner with other team members to achieve results.
  • You're tech savvy: Strong technology skills are critical and you possess advance skills in working with all programs in the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
  • You're flexible: You prefer a fast-paced and dynamic environment and are agile and comfortable enough to keep up as plans change and evolve.

In addition to the above, we need you to have an active Arizona license with an Adjuster line of authority.

What We Are Offering You:

We take care of our people. That's why our benefits and compensation programs are more than competitive. This is a company where everyone succeeds together. Because of this, we are very careful in selecting exceptional individuals to become part of our team. Some of the amazing benefits we provide include:

  • Competitive pay and opportunities for professional development.
  • Dynamic organizational culture within a supportive and dog friendly working environment.
  • Rest and relaxation with generous PTO, paid sick leave and holiday benefits.
  • Robust health and welfare benefits package including 100% employer-paid medical coverage for employees.
  • Preparation for the future with a 401(k) and company match.

The base salary range for this position is $55-60K.
