Role and Responsibilities:

As an Industrial Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of the plant electrical systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planned and Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled electrical maintenance tasks to keep our equipment in optimal condition.

• Installation and Maintenance: Install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot wiring, fixtures, control devices, and equipment.

• System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems, motor controls, AC/DC drives, and medium voltage switch gears.

• Blueprints and Schematics: Read and interpret equipment drawings, PIDs, one-line diagrams, and schematics.

• Diagnosis and Repair: Effectively diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems and components.

• Reliability and Optimization: Improve equipment reliability and optimize resources.

• Record Keeping: Maintain logs and records of labor, materials, and equipment usage.

• Electrical Test Equipment: Proficiently use electrical test equipment such as digital multimeters, ammeters, meggers, and instrument loop calibrators.

• Variable Frequency Drives: Install and set up variable frequency drives.

• Continuous Improvement: Participate in breakdown analysis, root cause analysis, focused improvement, and 5S projects to enhance operational efficiency.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all workers adhere to local, state, and national codes and regulations.

• Other Duties: Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and education:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent education.

• Electronics Technician Degree or Electrical License: Either an Electronics Technician Community College Degree or a Licensed Journeyman Electrical License.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrician experience, including one year of in-plant manufacturing experience.

• Problem Solving: Ability to work independently and utilize critical problem-solving and decision-making skills to generate and implement solutions throughout the process.

• Safety : Must maintain compliance with all LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, and Working at Heights policies. OSHA 10 training and experience required.

• Drive and PLC Knowledge: Experience with variable speed drives, with Allen Bradley drive knowledge being a plus. Experience with PLC installation and troubleshooting, with Allen Bradley PLC knowledge being a plus.

• Mechanical Aptitude: Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to assist in all mechanical tasks, jobs, and repairs.

• Availability: Ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to work at heights in excess of 80 feet, use man lifts, work in confined spaces, work outdoors, perform rotating shifts, and lift 50 pounds.

Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening and background check.
