Position Summary:
The Human Resources Recruiter/Generalist position works closely with the Director of Human Resources to design and implement the overall recruiting strategy for the organization. This position manages the entire life-cycle recruitment process to identify the top talent for available positions within the various Hillerich and Bradsby Co. business units and departments. Additionally, this position participates in compensation analysis, professional development analysis, and benefits administration and provides payroll processing backup support in addition to other Generalist duties assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Builds and maintains relationships within H&B's divisions to understand the roles and talent needs to identify current and prospective staffing requirements within the organization actively.
- Collaborates with the Director of HR and division leadership to develop and maintain workforce plans extrapolating professional development needs for current positions and future career path promotions, including succession planning opportunities.
- Creates and updates organizational job descriptions and recruitment profile sheets.
- Responsible for innovative and cost-effective recruiting methods to attract excellent candidates. Maintains accountability for job postings at various internal and external resources, including compliance with laws and internal policies.
- Review resumes and evaluate applicants to identify potential candidates meeting position qualifications and core value fits for the organization.
- Utilizes H&B's Applicant Tracking System (ATS), conducts phone and in-person interviews, sets up and attends various career fairs, and grows and maintains relationships with external sourcing partners, such as local universities and staffing agencies.
- Ensures timely and effective communication with hiring managers, applicants, and candidates throughout the process.
- Schedules and facilitates final selection interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Manages the onboarding program for new hires by ensuring an efficient and excellent new employee experience, obtains all necessary equipment, and provides secure physical access to the building.
- Performs new employee orientations covering policies, benefits, facility introductions and navigation, preparation and presentation of new hire packages, introduction and presentation of EOS concept materials, explanation, and setup of online and mobile accounts for Paylocity, Nectar Rewards, and EOS software. Ensures completion of new hire documents and checklists.
- Supports various aspects of organizational compensation, including analysis, maintenance of internal equity, annual increases, answering employee inquiries, and reporting on local market compensation trends and factors.
- Assists in benefits administration, including open enrollment, employee relations, employee inquiries, and policy administration activities, and provides guidance on company policies.
- The Human Resources Generalist must have knowledge of all federal and state regulations, including wage and hour, tax, garnishment, and reporting laws, to ensure H&B complies with federal and state agencies.
- Performs HRIS systems input and reporting as required to complete required job functions. This position will also assist in maintaining employee files and records in compliance with appropriate regulatory standards.
- Participates in department and employee meetings and contributes to or creates company communications as needed.
- Assists in the accurate completion of company benefit plan audits and reporting.
- Presents a positive and professional image of the organization and represents H&B's core values when interacting with applicants, employees, and external partners.

Requirements
A bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent education and work experience are required.
Two-plus years of HR Generalist experience is required. SHRM certification, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
Payroll processing experience is preferred but not required. Experience with Paylocity is a plus.
Prior Benefit administration experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Previous experience working with HRIS.
Experience with working with confidential information and maintaining confidentiality.
Must be highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks, and meet all deadlines.
Is a current Kentucky notary public, or can obtain a Kentucky notary public license.
Local travel for job fairs and meetings and occasional overnight travel to other H&B locations are required.
Occasional overtime as needed.
