Job Description

SNI Companies is seeking an HR Assistant to join a great organization in the Jacksonville, FL area!

Pay rate: $18.00 an hour , 90-day Contract-to-Hire position

Must be able to pass background check and drug test

Must be able to work on site

Full-time, 40+ hours a week, Monday through Friday

HR Assistant Job Description/Summary:

Responsible for administering the employee benefits program. Assists employees with benefits, maintain employee database, supplement payroll, manage all insurance billings and maintain employee files.

  • Administers various employee benefit programs, such as group insurance, life, medical, dental, vision, accident and disability insurance.
  • Provide benefit orientations, enrollments, claims processing and self-billing of insurance. Done timely and accurately including the COBRA program.
  • Prepare and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentially.
  • Update and maintain employee files regarding the tracking of benefit deductions.
  • Assist employees in filing health, dental, life and all other related benefit claims.
  • Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintains statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
  • Assist Benefits & Compensation Manager in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any Health, Life and Retirement plans that benefit the company.
  • Assist in the administration of Open Enrollment as needed including organizing/tracking of dependent verification.
  • Responsible for researching and resolving issues on discrepancy queries. Routine audits of information for accuracy, spot checks and sampling tests.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of relevant experience required
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug test
  • Must be able to work on site
