HR Generalist

Salary Range: $70,000–$75,000/year
Location: Green Bay
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on HR Generalist to join our team and support a wide range of human resources functions at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be an approachable and knowledgeable HR professional who thrives in a people-first, fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong grasp of compliance practices, payroll platforms, and benefits administration, along with the ability to build trust through face-to-face interactions on the floor with employees.

This is a full-time, on-site position, working closely with both our operations and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Engagement & Support

  • Serve as a visible and approachable HR presence on the floor; build rapport with employees and leaders through regular in-person interactions.
  • Assist in resolving employee questions, concerns, and conflicts with professionalism and discretion.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture aligned with company values and team goals.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Support full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Partner with staffing agencies and hiring managers to ensure timely and effective staffing of open roles.
  • Facilitate a smooth onboarding process, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Compliance & Records Management

  • Ensure I-9 documentation is completed in full compliance with federal guidelines; maintain up-to-date and auditable employee records.
  • Stay current on labor law and HR compliance changes; assist in maintaining compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.

Payroll & HRIS Administration

  • Support and maintain employee data across HR payroll platforms (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, UKG, etc.).
  • Process and verify timekeeping records, assist with payroll changes, and ensure accuracy in pay-related data entry.
  • Collaborate with payroll or accounting to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing.

Benefits Administration

  • Assist employees with enrollment, changes, and general questions related to health, dental, vision, life, and retirement benefits.
  • Support open enrollment and new hire enrollment processes.
  • Coordinate with benefit providers and brokers as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 2–3 years of HR experience in a generalist or related role, preferably in a manufacturing or high-volume environment .
  • Strong knowledge of I-9 compliance and employment law.
  • Experience working with HRIS/payroll systems (ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—must be comfortable having in-person, floor-level conversations .
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus, but not required.
