Disposition: Patient, empathetic, and approachable with the ability to inspire a gifted student to reach their full potential. Responsibilities Design and implement a personalized science curriculum tailored to the student's exceptional abilities and interests, focusing on advanced topics and enrichment. Provide one-on-one instruction in a variety of science disciplines, including but not limited to biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science. Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit the student's individual learning style, pace, and needs. Provide support for any computer science-related academic work, including homework, projects, exams, standardized tests and AP exams. Collaborate closely with parents and other household caregivers to track progress, set educational goals, and adjust lesson plans accordingly. Provide regular progress reports and feedback, highlighting academic growth, strengths, areas for improvement, and upcoming challenges. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages exploration, critical thinking, and a love for science. Maintain professionalism and discretion in all interactions with the student and family, respecting privacy and confidentiality at all times.
