We are seeking experienced Gas Meter Installation Field Technicians to support a critical 90-day deployment project with a major utility provider . This role requires frequent travel throughout Minnesota, overnight stays, and the ability to perform daily installation and endpoint deployment tasks at customer locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gas meter installation, field auditing, and working independently in fast-paced environments.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in supporting a large-scale network install and endpoint deployment project.
• Audit field installation (gas meters) work completed at customer homes by subcontractors.
• Meet regularly with subcontractors to review audit findings and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to address implementation challenges and ensure adherence to standards.
• Validate subcontractor completion work and communicate findings with the Project Manager.
• Operate customer-specific proprietary applications to log, track, and validate work.
• Provide professional interaction and support to customer representatives and vendors.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of work experience in endpoint/meter installation desired. (gas meter experience required; water/electric utility experience a plus).
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills with the ability to interact directly with customers and vendors.
• Ability to work independently, travel extensively, and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn proprietary software applications.
• Experience with GIS mapping software (e.g., Google Earth).
• Familiarity with GPS tools and coordinate data.

Location : Statewide across Minnesota – frequent overnight travel required.
Duration : 90-day project with potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $27.78/hr. + DOE
