What does an exceptional Cloud / DevOps Architect do? We're looking for a Solutions Leader to join our software development organization. Seeking a Leader to manage Azure Cloud architectural design discussions, collaborate with developers and other Cloud Architects to maintain and extend the client Azure Cloud environment.
You will create the infrastructure for our high performance and security critical Digital Banking applications in a fast-paced result-oriented environment. This role requires advanced technical skillset in depth and an ability to effectively communicate across both DevOps and development teams. The ideal candidate is heavily hands on and has a strong need to learn new things as well as research new technologies and be up to date.
As an Cloud / DevOps Architect, you can look forward to: - Collaborating with the development as well as production support teams.
- Establishing IaaC solutions for a fully automated CI/CD pipeline.
- Bringing awareness to a high performance and high available Azure Cloud platform, promoting modern and mature practices.
- Preparing and reviewing technical designs and delivery of high-quality architecture.
- Configuring and documenting the IaaC, hardware and service solutions.
- Sharing knowledge of the Cloud trends in software cloud automation, techniques, tools, and best practices.
- Accessing risks based on product complexity, resource and/or timeline constraints.
- Mentoring technical staff during projects to ensure continuous improvement.
- Providing inspiration and guidance to the growing team; foster a culture of transparency, collaboration and innovation.
- Establishing department standards and procedures, recommending efficient ways to ensure the best implementation practices of new or upgraded products.
- Display strong verbal and written communication, with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
Basic qualifications for consideration: - Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of software development experience.
- 10 years of hands-on experience in Cloud environments
- 5+ years hands-on experience in Azure Cloud IaaC
- Strong experience in platform automation using Azure DevOps, Github Actions, Terraform and Helm charts
- Strong experience in Azure AKS, Kubernetes, Istio, Docker
- Strong experience in high security relevant environments
- Experience in supporting high performance applications using multi-threading and pooling.
- Experience in setting up application monitoring infrastructure like Prometheus, Kiali, Kayenta, Open Telemetry, etc.
Preferred Qualifications for consideration: - Supporting DevOps for = distributed, service oriented, microservices-style and cloud-based application architectures.
- Related banking industry experience in platforms, banking applications, or online financial solutions.
