Forklift Technician - Positions available in the following TN areas:

  • Nashville
  • Hendersonville

  • You've got previous mechanical experience within lift truck, automotive, aviation OR military
  • You're mechanically talented - you've been fixing things since you were a kid
  • You have a large selection of hand tools and know how to use them.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a consistent work history with significant tenure at previous roles
  • Valid drivers license required

Field Service Technician General Summary:

To troubleshoot electro-mechanical problems, complete installations, and perform unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance on equipment, based upon customer demand and need. To provide complete customer satisfaction in a polite and professional manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Effectively analyzes equipment problems and recommends actions necessary to correct situation.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor and promotes goodwill between the company and customers by providing a superior level of customer service.
  • Performs necessary repairs to correct analyzed situations in a professional and productive manner.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment according to standardized procedures.
  • Performs only factory authorized modifications to equipment.
  • Follows all customer and company safety rules
  • Ensures that all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Completes and submits all required paperwork in a neat, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Efficiently uses work time.
  • Maintains parts inventory and supplies in van.
  • Maintains service van to ensure that it is clean, organized and hazard free inside and out
  • Ensures that regular maintenance and needed repairs on service van are scheduled & completed.
  • Responsible for maintaining personal tools required for performing the job effectively and safely.

This position allows you to work independently while truly being part of a larger team with a common goal. You must be highly responsible, dependable, and presentable. In conjunction with your desire to learn and advance, we will provide structured classroom and on-the-job training and help you advance from mechanic to full-fledged technician.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and material handling equipment.
  • Skilled in providing excellent customer relations by exchanging information with courtesy and consideration.
  • Ability to exhibit a professional demeanor and develop customer relations and superior service.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or demonstrated instructions.
  • Ability to stay abreast of industry innovations and product availability.
  • Ability to safely operate drills, grinders, presses, forklifts, hoists, cranes and personal hand tools.
  • Have at least basic hand tools.
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screen
  • Good driving record.
